Something to think about!
An affirmation is a positive
thought directed at yourself. Look into the mirror. Look at your skin color, your bone structure, your hair, your body. Tell
yourself how beautiful and wonderful you are. Say,
"My face is beautiful." "My eyes are very pretty." "My skin color is a wonderful shade of brown."
"My body is fantastic." "I am me and I am a great person." "I am a beautiful Black sister who only grows more beautiful
with time." "I am worthy of love and respect." "I love myself."
Don't feel silly,
because it's all true! Sometimes we have to tell ourselves how great we are instead of waiting for other people to
tell us. This increases and maintains our self-esteem.
Know that you can and will succeed!
