I am a native of Flint, Michigan and have been a resident of Birmingham since 1996.

I am a Special Education Teacher at Woodlawn High School.

I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Jackson State University and my Master of Education Degree at Alabama State University. I have one sister; Mia. She is currently an educator and a resident of Los Angeles, CA. As the founder of this organization, I sincerely believe that each of us should lead by example. We are held accountable for what we contribute to our communities. Make an effort to contribute your unique gifts and talents where you see a need.

It is my hope that all young women of color know that they too are "Zuri"(Beautiful).
